Beneath the stirring shaft lies a slurry that tends to settle and cake upon standing; above it are the motor and the reducer; connecting the two is equipment manufactured by Guangdong Zhongxing Hydraulic Transmission Co., Ltd. While stirring phosphorus‑chemical slurry may seem as simple as “just getting it to turn,” the actual operating conditions are quite demanding. After the slurry settles, it tends to cake and harden; when restarting, the resisting torque can be several times higher than during normal operation. If the motor is started with a rigid coupling to the load, the inrush current can impose severe stress on the power grid, and the gearbox gears and the agitator shaft must absorb the full impact of these loads. One or two such starts may be manageable, but over time, repeated cycling can lead to hidden risks—shaft breakage, gear damage, and even burnout of the motor windings.

Since commissioning, the equipment has started up smoothly, with no recurrence of stalling or gear‑jamming, and the frequency of shutdowns for maintenance has accordingly decreased.
