Introduction to Limited-Torque Hydraulic Couplings
- 1. Advantages of the limited-torque hydraulic coupling
◆ To enhance the starting capability of squirrel-cage induction motors, the motor's peak torque can be utilized as the starting torque, thereby avoiding the inefficient mismatch phenomenon of "using a large horse to pull a small cart."
◆ Shorten the starting time of the electric motor and reduce the starting current during the startup process.
◆ Prevents power overload and safeguards the motor and working machinery from damage due to excessive load.
◆ Reduce vibrations and impacts during the startup process.
◆ In multi-motor drive systems, it ensures that motors start independently, enables power balancing, and provides a starting torque limit of 1.2 to 1.6 times the rated torque.
◆ Simple and reliable structure with no mechanical wear, requiring no special maintenance.
◆ Capable of operating in a variety of harsh working environments.
2. Application Scope of Hydraulic Couplings
Widely used in various mechanical equipment across industries such as power, steel, metallurgy, mining, coal, building materials, chemical engineering, ports, lifting, transportation, and construction machinery. Examples include belt conveyors, scraper conveyors, chain conveyors, screw conveyors, bucket elevators, bucket wheel stacker-reclaimers, coal mills, ball mills, crushers, bridge cranes, gantry cranes, tower cranes, leather tanning drum machines, washing machines, wire-drawing machines, rubber mixing machines, boiler slag crushers, centrifuges, amusement machines, and more.3. Characteristics of Limited-Moment Hydraulic Couplings
(1) Types, varieties, and specifications of limited-torque hydraulic couplings:
◆ Classified by transmission medium: Available with mineral oil or water filling, they feature identical axial installation lengths and fully interchangeable components.
◆ Classified by drive type: The YOX series features an external impeller (pump wheel) drive, while the YOXn series utilizes an internal impeller (turbine) drive.
◆ Classified by cavity type: There is the single-cavity YOX series and the double-cavity YOXD series.
◆ Classified by the structure based on starting time duration: YOP series with no rear auxiliary chamber; YOX series of standard type; YOXV series with extended rear auxiliary chamber; and YOXvvs series featuring an extended rear auxiliary chamber and enlarged side auxiliary chambers.
◆ Classified by equipment transmission characteristics: there are the YOXP series with belt pulleys, and the YOXIIZ and YOXNZ series with brake wheels.◆ Classified by Ease of Disassembly: YOXA Series with Elastic Sleeve Pin Coupling Type.

(3) Code and Meaning of Identification for Hydraulic Couplings
The code and identification of the hydraulic coupling shall be represented by Chinese phonetic letters according to GB/T 5837-2008 "Types and Basic Parameters of Hydraulic Couplings."
1. Hydraulic couplings driven by the outer casing and using mineral oil as the working medium do not require any codes or letters for identification.
2. Meaning:
Main foundry business scope and capacity:
To cast 104-based aluminum alloy parts, HT150-250 cast iron parts, 45# steel-based various types of carbon steel castings. The production capacity of aluminum castings is 100 tons/month, and the production capacity of cast iron and steel parts is 100 tons/month.
